The Aesthetic Nurse Institute Effective Date: January 2025

1. Definitions and Interpretation

In this Agreement the following terms shall have the following meanings:
"Account": the personal information, payment details, and login credentials used by Users to access paid content or services on the Website.
"Content": any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations, and other information stored on or forming part of this Website.
"Facilities": any online tools, services, or information provided by The Aesthetic Nurse Institute through the Website.
"Services": the training, courses, workshops, or other educational services offered through this Website or in person.
"Payment Information": details required to purchase Services, including but not limited to credit/debit card details.
"Website": aestheticnurse.learnworlds.com and any subdomains, unless excluded by their own terms.
"We/Us/Our": The Aesthetic Nurse Institute, operating in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and providing Services internationally.
"User/Users": any third party accessing the Website who is not employed by The Aesthetic Nurse Institute in the course of their employment.

2. Eligibility and Age Restrictions

Our Services are designed for:
  • Licensed healthcare professionals (e.g., Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, LPNs, or other regulated professionals where applicable), who may apply course content within their professional scope of practice.
  • Aspiring students who wish to begin a career in medical aesthetics and are seeking foundational education before pursuing licensure or further professional training.

Persons under 18 may use this Website or attend training only with the supervision of an adult.

Important: Completion of our courses or workshops does not, by itself, grant professional licensure or authorization to perform medical aesthetic procedures. Students are responsible for meeting all regulatory and licensing requirements in their jurisdiction before applying practical skills in a clinical setting.

3. Business Customers

These Terms also apply to customers procuring Services in the course of business (e.g., clinics or training organizations).

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 All Content, unless uploaded by Users, is the property of The Aesthetic Nurse Institute or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property law.
4.2 You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or re-use Website material without Our written consent.

5. Third Party Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in third-party content (such as product names, images, or software) remain the property of their owners. You may not reproduce or re-use such content without permission.

6. Fair Use of Intellectual Property

You may use Website material without permission where permitted by Canadian copyright exceptions (e.g., fair dealing for education).

7. Links to Other Websites

The Website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or availability of those sites and disclaim all liability arising from their use.

8. Links to this Website

You may link to our homepage without permission, provided it is done fairly and legally. Deep linking (to internal pages) requires our written consent.

9. Use of Communications Facilities

When using communication features (forums, chat, messaging), you must not:

  • use obscene, harassing, or discriminatory language;

  • post unlawful, defamatory, or violent content;

  • impersonate others; or

We reserve the right to monitor communications and suspend accounts for misuse.

11. Termination and Cancellation of Accounts

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion. You may also request closure of your account at any time.

12. Services, Pricing and Availability

  • All Services are described as accurately as possible but may vary.

  • Prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and may change without notice.

  • International students are responsible for currency conversion and any fees charged by their bank or payment provider.

  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until we confirm your order.

13. Orders and Provision of Service

Your order is an offer; a binding contract is formed once we send you a confirmation email.
Payment is due at the time of booking (unless otherwise stated).
Access to online courses is typically provided within 2–3 business days of purchase.

14. Cancellation of Orders and Services

We want you to feel confident about your training investment. Our policy is as follows:

  • More than 30 days before course start: Full refund, minus a $100 administration fee.

  • 14–30 days before course start: 50% refund.

  • Less than 14 days before course start: Non-refundable.

  • If The Aesthetic Nurse Institute cancels a course, you may choose a full refund or transfer to another date.

Once online course access has been granted, refunds are not available unless required by law.

International Students: Nothing in this section overrides mandatory refund or cancellation rights available under the consumer protection laws of the student’s home country (e.g., the EU/UK 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases).


15. Privacy

Use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy (aestheticnurse.learnworlds.com/privacy).

16. How We Use Your Personal Information (Data Protection)

We collect, use, and protect personal information in accordance with PIPEDA (Canada) and BC’s PIPA.Where students are based internationally:

  • If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with strong privacy protections (e.g., GDPR), we will process your data in line with those requirements where applicable.


  • If you are located in California (USA), we will comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) where applicable.

17. Disclaimers

  • Our Services are provided for educational purposes only.
  • Completion of a course does not guarantee competency or licensing; you remain responsible for practicing within your scope and complying with your regulatory body.
  • The Website is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  •  We make no warranties regarding specific outcomes or results from using our Services.
  •  International students acknowledge that certification does not guarantee recognition by regulators outside Canada.

18. Changes to the Facilities and these Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

19. Availability of the Website

19.1 The Website is provided “as is” and on an “as available” basis. The Aesthetic Nurse Institute uses industry best practices to maintain a high uptime, including a fault-tolerant architecture hosted in cloud servers. However, we make no warranty that the Website, its Facilities, or its Content will be free of errors, defects, or interruptions. We do not provide refunds for outages or downtime.

19.2 We provide no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information, compatibility, or satisfactory quality.

19.3 We accept no liability for any disruption or non-availability of the Website caused by external factors, including but not limited to:

  • internet service provider (ISP) or hosting failures,

  • communications network failures,

  • power outages,

  • natural disasters,

  • cyberattacks,

  • acts of war, or

  • government restrictions or censorship.


20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or Services. You are responsible for applying what you learn in compliance with professional regulations.

21. No Waiver

Failure by either party to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be construed as a waiver.

22. Previous Terms and Conditions

These Terms replace all prior versions.

23. Third Party Rights

No third party has rights under this Agreement.

25. Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

Students outside of Canada acknowledge that they are contracting with a Canadian business and agree that disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to override mandatory consumer protections or statutory rights available in the student’s home jurisdiction.

26. In-Person Workshops and Training

26.1 Travel and Accommodation

Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, meals, and other expenses unless otherwise stated in writing by The Aesthetic Nurse Institute.

26.2 Health and Safety
Participants must comply with all health, safety, and professional guidelines during in-person training sessions. The Aesthetic Nurse Institute reserves the right to remove any participant who engages in unsafe, disruptive, or unprofessional behavior, without refund.

26.3 Medical Responsibility
Our training is educational. It does not substitute for clinical judgment, licensure, or professional responsibility. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that they apply skills taught only within their regulated professional scope of practice.

26.4 Liability Waiver
By attending an in-person workshop, participants acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with clinical and aesthetic training. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Aesthetic Nurse Institute, its instructors, and affiliates accept no liability for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during or as a result of participation.

26.5 Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • If a participant cancels attendance at an in-person workshop, our standard refund and cancellation policy (Section 14) applies.

  • If The Aesthetic Nurse Institute must cancel or reschedule an in-person workshop (e.g., due to low enrollment, instructor illness, venue issues, or events beyond our control), participants will be offered either:

    • a transfer to a future workshop date, or

    • a full refund of fees paid.
      We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred.
